EA and Origin Access subscribers can now try out a ten hour chunk of Mass Effect: Andromeda
Though it launched ahead of schedule, Mass Effect: Andromeda's time-limited trial is live. Xbox One players with a valid EA Access subscription, and PC players with an Origin subscription can now download the full game (42GB ).
The in-game progression will be limited in a couple ways. The time limit will be ten hours, and that includes the time spent setting up the game. Content restrictions go as far as limiting the progress beyond a certain point. The planet the game starts on remains explorable to an extent. That's the singleplayer. The multiplayer does not have any restrictions. No word yet about the availability of the horizontal mambo.
The EA Access monthly subscription can be purchased and then cancelled after the game has finished downloading. The same goes for the Origin Access account. Naturally, all progress made during the trial, will be carried over into the purchased version.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch on 21 March in North America, and 23 March in the rest of the world, for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
