Naughty Dog will offer an update on The Last of Us Part Two in the next PlayStation State of Play, which is scheduled for Tuesday, 24 September 2019.
As earlier confirmed, Sony will host another PlayStation State of Play live stream next week, where they will reveal new details about some highly anticipated titles. The State of Play is scheduled for Tuesday, 24 September 2019, which is also the same day Naughty Dog invited the press to a special The Last of Us Part 2 event, which will reportedly feature three hours of gameplay and a release date announcement.
While many players assumed that this means that The Last of Us 2 won't appear in next week's State of Play, it looks like the special event won't stop Naughty Dog from featuring in the live stream. It's been officially confirmed by Vice President of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann, that The Last of Us Part 2 is indeed coming to State of Play.
Druckmann shared the info via his Twitter profile but unfortunately, he did not say what exactly can players expect to see. "We’ve been silent for too long. It’s time to put an end to that," Druckmann captioned the video which shows a knife with "Part II" title.
To us, it looks like something big is coming and that could be the release date reveal since that's probably the only thing players want to hear at this moment. It's possible that we also get some new gameplay but don't expect to see anything major since State of Play is only 20-30 minutes long and there's a lot of other games that are also included.
Speaking about other games, there's no telling what else will be shown during the live stream. A safe guess would be a quick trailer for MediEvil remake while Ghost of Tsushima is another title that could possibly get another trailer or gameplay.
