Leona already had her go in Teamfight Tactics as a part of the first champion set with which the game launched. One of the necessary champions needed for the full Noble bonus, she enjoyed moderate popularity but we all know it was Kayle who turned out to be the MVP in those compositions. Anyway, the Solari champion returned for more adventures in Set 2.
Meanwhile, Karma is making a debut but she is unlikely to end up the only new champion in the game. Riot Games announced that even more would be added by the time Set 2 gets retired.
After that, Set 3 will kick in. There is currently no exact release date but the developers did state it will come along mid-March 2020 so there are roughly two months left to play around with Set 2. During that time, key items will get reworked so the meta will most likely shift to keep the things fresh until the new roster arrives.
Teamfight Tactics Set 3 will thematically follow several League of Legends skin lines, including Project, Star Guardian, Odyssey and Pulsefire. Therefore, it is already hinting which champions will be present, with Fiora, Shen, Poppy and Jinx being the ones confirmed.
Besides that, players will be happy to learn that TFT Mobile is coming at the same time as Set 3. If you needed to grab a quick game on the go, it will be easier than ever.
