Tale of a Timeless Tome is the name of the second Ni No Kuni 2 DLC which is coming on 19 March 2019. The expansion will introduce new story quests, combat methods and a brand new time attack battle arena location named Solosseum Slog.
Level-5 and Bandai Namco have officially revealed the second major expansion for action RPG Ni No Kuni 2. Dubbed Tale of a Timeless Tome, the DLC is bringing a new location, quests, enemies and some additions to combat.
The story of the new adventure begins when people staying at the Goldpond Inn start experiencing a mysterious dream in which they are visited by "an enigmatic rabbit".
Once news of these strange events reaches Evan, who is the main protagonist, he and his friends decide to visit the Goldpond Inn and investigate the mystery.
They enter a dream in which they meet the rabbit named Conductor settled in a strange house. Both rabbit and house will probably be familiar to players who completed the original game - Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, but Conductor's role in the new adventure is up to players to discover.
Tale of Timeless Tome will also bring back some old characters such as Queen Nerea and her companion Leander.
As for the new combat methods, the description mentions two of them - the Wizard's Companion and Martha's Method. These are the additions to the Martial Method combat system that was introduced in the previous DLC - The Lair of the Lost Lord.
The new expansion is also adding a new location - the Solosseum Slog. It's a time attack battle arena where you can fight in consecutive battles on the highest difficulty. Completing these challenges will reward players with valuable items.

If you're unfamiliar with Ni No Kuni 2, the game released on 32 March 2018 and received mostly positive reviews on Steam, with 84 out of 100 average score on Metacritic. It follows the story of cat-like character King Evan who is trying to regain his crown and unite the world against, evil, rat-like faction.
