Respawn Entertainment have released a patch for their action-adventure Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. The patch improves loading times, fixes slowdowns and texture flickering issues.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is to all Star Wars fans but also to those who love third-person action adventures with a bit of Dark Souls combat. However, the game is not without its flaws. Thre's a lot of technical issues we encountered while playing and the loading times aren't impressive.
Thankfully, the developer Respawn Entertainment have deployed a patch, which brings several improvements to the PC version of the game. At the moment, the patch is not available on PS4 and Xbox One but it's expected in no time.
The update isn't massive so don't expect that all issues just magically disappear but there are a couple of fixes that should make the game a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Here are the full patch notes:
- We’ve fixed a texture flickering issue that would display on the screen while driving the AT-AT on Kashyyyk.
- Sometimes the input from the arrow keys would fail to respond within menus, this has now been fixed.
- Dynamic resolution settings will now save properly.
- Fixed an issued where the game could become slow and loading times longer than expected.
As you can see, the game should load a lot faster now and if you experienced any slowdowns during gameplay, these should be fixed once you update the game. Those with SSDs probably didn't even notice these issues but players that are using the standard hard drives probably encountered a couple of hiccups here and there.
It remains to be seen if the patch fixes loading issues on Xbox One S. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order would often completely stop for five to six seconds just to load the next area, which can be a pretty annoying problem. Hopefully, Respawn took care of it so Xbox One S owners can enjoy one of the best Star Wars games of all time.
