Large-scale battles over a bunch of illegal narcotics are expected to play out at old and new locations across the 'verse. Additionally, those more interested in learning about their pilot’s personal journey can look forward to more PvE Star Citizen content that will drop with the 3.16 patch cycle slated for release in January 2022. The January patch will bring Derelict Ships puzzles and rewards.
Star Citizen -Alpha 3.16: Return to Jumptown update key features
- Jumptown 2.0 was inspired by the fan-favourite PvP community event that had the players waging war over valuable drug resources. The new event will see both Lawful and Criminal players race into battle over control of valuable drug crates at various outposts in the Stanton system.
- Drake Cutlass Steel: This dropship variant of the Drake Cutlass will trade in the cargo capacity for ample space that can accommodate 18 jump seats to transport troops to the frontlines of battle, along with a variety of weaponry, including door-mounted guns, manned and remote turrets, ballistic Gatling guns, laser repeaters, and a powerful payload of missiles.
- Grav-Lev Physics Rework: Hoverbikes will see improved handling, stability, and an overall better experience.
- Atmospheric Bounties: Bounty hunters can now go after contracts above the caves on microTech, outposts on ArcCorp, and more with new bounties across Stanton, including targets hiding in-atmosphere across all of the system’s major planets.
