Sony have officially confirmed June 4 2020 as the date for PlayStation 5 event where they plan to showcase new next-gen titles and talk about PlayStation 5 features.
After many leaks, rumours and speculation about PlayStation 5 reveal event, Sony have officially announced the date and time of the next-gen showcase. As previously speculated, the event is taking place in the first week of June. It's set to start on June 4 at 1:00 PM PDT / 10:00 PM CET.
Sony say that the event will feature a first look at the PlayStation 5 games which will arrive after the console launches this holiday.
"The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware," it's written in the announcement.
The event itself will run for a bit more than an hour and as expected will be fully digital. The company also confirmed that this is just the first part of serial PS5 updates which will be coming in the near future.
"This is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you."
The event will be live-streamed on PlayStation social media and YouTube channels.
