Red Dead Redemption 2 adds long-awaited feature to Xbox One

Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox One players can now enjoy all the Story Mode updates, which were previously available only to PlayStation, PC and Stadia players. This also includes the long-awaited Photo Mode.

Just over a month since the introduction of Story Mode updates to PS4, Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox One players will finally be able to capture cool screenshots and edit them in the game's Photo Mode. It may sound surprising but Photo Mode was not available in the Xbox One version of the game until now. Better late than never Xbox One players will probably say. 

On top of this addition, Xbox One players can now enjoy all the Story Mode updates previously only available in Red Dead Redemption 2 for PlayStation, PC and Stadia. These Story Mode updates often include new Bounty Hunter missions, Gang Hideouts and Treasure Hunts. Here is everything that is available right now on Xbox One:

  • 3 Story Mode Bounty Hunter Missions
  • 2 Story Mode Gang Hideouts
  • 2 Story Mode Treasure Maps
  • "To The Ends of The Earth" Story Mode Mission 
  • 4 Weapons Added to Story Mode
  • 7 Horse Breeds Added to Story Mode
  • 5 Hidden Trinkets Added to Story Mode

Red Dead Online's in-game catalogue has also been updated. Four new clothing items and five emotes are now available for Red Dead Online players on PC, Xbox One and Google Stadia. Here is the full list of new items:

    • Salizzo Double Bandolier 
    • Rulfo Boots
    • Starrett Hat
    • Gordillo Half-Chaps
  • Emotes
    • Hat Flick
    • Howl
    • Jovial Laugh
    • Subtle Wave
    • You vs Me 

Additionally, there are 30 per cent discounts on all Weapon Barrels, Sights, Scope and Stock Upgrades. A perfect opportunity if you are looking to upgrade your trusty rifle or revolver.

Rockstar Games have released the first gameplay video of Red Dead Redemption 2 that featured a narrator explaining the differences between the first game and the highly anticipated sequel. You can see the entire gameplay video here.
