PlayStation 4 owners will have Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness to look forward to in PS Plus lineup for March 2019. On the flip side, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita will no longer be supported in the subscription service.
PlayStation 3 and PS Vita have seen the last of their entries in PS Plus lineups as these two platforms will no longer be supported by the service. March will be the first month with no PS Plus lineup for the legacy platforms, but those who didn't claim the February lineup will have time to do so until 08 March 2019. As a reminder, the games in question are Divekick, Rogue Aces, Gunhouse and Metal Gear 4: Guns of the Patriots.
PlayStation 4 owners will have a classic on their hands though as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remaster will be up for grabs. It is the upgraded version of the original as the new textures from 2016 should make the game a bit more pleasing on the eye.
The bad part is that Activision involved a bunch of microtransactions that weren't present in the original, probably hoping to capitalise on the fans' nostalgia. This is arguably the main reason why Modern Warfare Remastered wasn't received as well as the original. On the positive side, the gunplay feel remains the same as it was back in 2007 so you may relive some amazing memories. Just to think that 50.000 people used to... nevermind, it's the nostalgia kicking in.
PS Plus' second offering for PS4 players will not be a shooting extravaganza but rather a game that requires calm, composed and focused mind. The Witness is an open world game with some exploration and hundreds of puzzles to solve.
As players discover more and solve puzzles, they will progress through the storyline which will slowly unravel since they start the game as an amnesiac. Both The Witness and Modern Warfare Remastered will be available for PS Plus subscribers from 05 March to 01 April 2019.
