Niantic's Pokémon GO has passed the $1 billion milestone, just shy of seven months after its release
According to Sensor Tower data, the app recently surpassed $1 billion in revenue, making it the fastest mobile game in the history of the app stores to reach the milestone. In comparison, Clash Royale, its fellow 2016 release—and top-earner, grossed around $550 million seven moths after its release.
Although the daily revenue has diminished in comparison to the first months its been out, Pokémon GO can still entice the users to spend money using events such as the Halloween bash. With Generation 2 Pokémon on their way, Niantic stands to leave the $1 billion mark in the dust by the app's one year anniversary.
