By now, we are all familiar with the faction of New World, and the way they work. Players choose to be one of three existing factions, Marauders, The Covenant, and The Syndicate. However, there is one thing players are complaining about, and it is starting to influence the game.
The main complaint the players have is the fact that none of the factions have any draw to them. Namely, each and every one is only different in their color scheme, and they offer no incentive for players to join one faction or the other.
As the players can see the way every server's territory is divided up prior to choosing a faction, this leads to one faction being eliminated quickly from a server, while the other two battle for supremacy, as players don't want to join the side of a losing faction.
There have been some suggestions to offer new players incentive to join a certain faction, based on the position that faction has on the server. However, even this would make no particular sense, as that would be strongarming the player-driven world into complying with the wishes of the developers.
In our opinion, all that remains is fleshing out the lore of every faction, and giving them enough personal differences so that players don't want to jump ship as soon as their faction starts losing. As for the fact that with the character transfer that Amazon is giving out, a lot of severs will become the property of a single faction, well, we can offer no solution there.
