Renowned leaker on the ResetEra forum, widely recognised as Head on the Block (formerly known as I'm a Hero Too), asserts that Persona 6 will embrace a semi-open world design for its level structure, promising more fluid social links in the game.
In terms of the game's structure and narrative foundation, as per the leaker's assertions, Persona 6 will adhere to the established formula of its predecessors within the franchise. The central focus remains on a group of high school students, with the upcoming installment introducing a fresh setting.
In a separate post, the leaker claimed that the game is set to incorporate "more fluid" social links. For those unfamiliar with Persona games, these links represent the bonds players establish and enhance with various characters throughout the game, offering both narrative depth and gameplay advantages.
The leaker additionally alleges that in Persona 6, social links will be more interactive and subject to fewer timed restrictions compared to the constraints observed in prior games, where the improvement in this regard was more than possible and also desired by the players.
However, the trustworthiness of this leaker fails to instill much confidence among Reddit users who engaged in the discussion. Specifically, a Reddit user pointed out that the same leaker had claimed last year that Persona 6 would adopt a live-service game model.
While the certainty of dismissing this possibility remains unclear, it is advisable to take these claims with a grain of salt due to their questionable reliability. Reportedly, Persona 6 is slated for release sometime in 2025.
