No Code's sci-fi thriller Observation has been removed from Steam and will launch on Epic Games Store and PlayStation 4. The confirmation comes after a new trailer dropped on Sony's State of Play but without Steam or PC platform logo.

Observation is the upcoming sci-fi thriller from the creators of Stories Untold - No Code. It was originally announced last year for PlayStation 4 and PC and it appeared on Steam shortly after.

In Sony's first episode of State of Play, No Code and Devolver Digital shared a new trailer and instead of enjoying in Observation's new gameplay shots and story bits, players noticed that the PC logo was missing from the trailer and that the game mysteriously vanished from Steam.

Of course, the first thought was that Observation is now releasing as a PlayStation 4 exclusive but it turns out that sci-fi thriller is only swapping Steam for Epic Games Store. The publisher, Devolver Digital shared the earlier trailer again, but this time, at the very end, a big Epic Store logo appears along with a message "Available on PS4 and PC".

The game now has its page on Epic's store and as things stand at the moment, it's another Epic Store exclusive as there are no details about releases on Steam or other digital stores. It's also available for pre-order on Epic Store and it costs $22.49.

Of course, the new trailer has been disliked pretty heavily along with the standard anti-Epic Store comments from many YouTube users.

If you're unfamiliar with No Code's upcoming title, Observation is trying a bit different approach by putting players in the role of the space station's AI named S.A.M.

Players then get to operate the station’s control systems, cameras, and tools to assist Dr Emma Fisher in discovering what is happening to the station, the vanished crew, and S.A.M. himself.

As you may notice, Observation takes heavy inspiration from Alien Isolation's visual style which is not surprising given that the development team No Code is made up of alumni from Creative Assembly – the makers of Alien Isolation, along with some staff from Rocksteady and Rockstar North.
