Infinity Ward's shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is dominating the sales charts ever since its release in October. Last night, a report from NPD has been released and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the best-selling title for the second month in a row. Modern Warfare is also the best selling game for the trailing 12-month period.
The popular shooter beat Respawn Entertainment's action-adventure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Pokemon Company's RPG Pokemon Sword and Shield. The report mentions that dollar sales of all tracked video game software actually declined 14 per cent (to $926 million) in November when compared to the previous year while year-to-date sale dipped 8 per cent (to $5.4 billion).
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the second best selling game of November, also taking the nine place of the best-selling games of 2019 year-to-date. Furthermore, Fallen Order had the second-highest launch month for any Star Wars game in the history of US, coming behind Star Wars Battlefront.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are third and fifth, respectively, while the complete package is the fourth best-selling game in November 2019. When combined, Sword and Shield sales would have become the second best-selling title in November.
Additionally, Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding is in the top 10 while Madden NFL 20 also had a great month. Here is the full list of the top 20 best selling games in November 2019:
