A brand new trailer for Elden Ring could appear at The Game Awards later this year but a year without any news about FromSoftware's next game is more likely to happen.
Souls fans have been craving for more Elden Ring news for quite some time now but it looks like FromSoftware are not ready to fully unveil their game just yet. It has been a full year since developers talked about the game and it looks like the wait is set to continue in the next couple of months.
Reliable Jeff Grubb from VentureBeat, who previously revealed details about PlayStation 5 and Xbox Games Showcase has said earlier that Elden Ring will not appear at the Xbox event, which turned out to be true. Recently, Grubb also shared a couple of new details about a potential Elden Ring reveal.
When asked which is more likely to be shown at the upcoming Gamescom, Bakugan or Elden Ring, Grubb simply replied Bakugan, suggesting that there is no way we'll see FromSoftware's next game this month.
On YouTube, Grubb was once again asked when exactly can we expect to see more of the game. He simply replied that he does not think that FromSoftware will share any Elden Ring news this year but if they decide to do so, The Game Awards show, which takes place in December, will probably be the perfect event for such a reveal.
Elden Ring has been announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but it is safe to say that the game should also arrive to next-gen consoles since it's definitely not coming anytime soon.
