New World is preparing for the upcoming Easter holiday by introducing an event that will have a bunch of 'roided out bunnies attacking the people of Aeternum.
Monthy Python may have introduced the inconspicuous murder machines that masqueraded as innocent bunnies but Amazon Game Studios aren't having it with the subtlety. The team went head-on with the whole rabbit threat as they announced what will be happening in celebration of Easter 2022.
Namely, the lands of Aeternum will be invaded by a horde of corrupted rabbits, which the players will have to kill if they want to slightly fast-track their grind.
The corrupted rabbits will appear from April 12 to April 25, 2022, and hunting them down will be rewarded with special loot that will drop from the critters themselves. Diamond Gypsum is among those drops but players will be limited to three of these per day, along with up to five luck-increasing consumables.
Furthermore, there is going to be a mystical storage chest that will apparently be in possession of these rabbits. This may refer to a furniture piece that could help with increasing the space in a city or world object that can be looted, AGS didn't really specify in the announcement .
