Another exploit appeared in New World, forcing Amazon Game Studios to take a different measure this time around, one that benefited every player in the game.
There are things that are simply constant in the universe - you can't breathe in the vacuum, cheesecake is fantastic and New World can't have a patch without introducing more duping exploits. Amazon Game Studios tred to deal with this issue in several ways so far but it wasn't until the latest one that the regular players started truly benefiting from their efforts
When AGS would track down and ban dupers, it would be good for the game in the long term but those who didn't do anything bad still found themselves at a disadvantage one way or the other.
However, on November 23, 2021, AGS announced that one of the measures of dealing with the most recent duping exploit will be by reducing housing taxation by 90 per cent until December update kicks in. There is currently no ETA for the update but you will likely be able to get the discount two or three times before it goes away.
Those with three big houses will obviously benefit the most but even if you don't have that much real estate, savings can really add up.
For example, having a 20,000 and a 5,000 house at the same time would mean your normal tax would be well over 1,000 gold a week but with this change, you will pay just over a 100, which is a great deal, considering the trophy bonuses and Azoth saving these things provide.
