Future content for New World doesn't only mean fixes and an occasional weapon as it appears Amazon Game Studios are working on bringing a whole new zone to the game.
New World PTR is proving to be a treasure trove of information for those willing to look deep enough. Data miners previously found out that the devs are working on introducing greatswords as new weapons while the Void Gauntlet is still in testing on PTR and now there is more.
It appears that the next map, or perhaps zone, will be desert-themed and will draw some inspiration from the cultures of South America at the time conquistadors landed on the continent.
According to the leak , the name of the zone is Brimstone Sands and there are a few images that are fairly small when it comes to resolution so while they are offering a glimpse into the future of New World, they don't reveal too much.
One of the images is also showing a temple that is highly reminiscent of those from Ancient Greece so it's possible there will be more than one inspiration for the new zone.
Another interesting detail is that one of the pictures shows something that looks a lot like a fort so it's possible this new territory will be up for claims. On the other hand, this could also be a town so let's not get our hopes up before official info arrives from the devs themselves.
