According to the latest rumours, streaming giant Netflix are working on a TV series based on Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls franchise, which will be a big-budget project, just like The Witcher.

American streaming giant Netflix are set to expand their catalogue of video game adaptations with one of the biggest RPGs of all time - Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls series. According to the latest rumours, Netflix are currently developing a TV series based on The Elder Scrolls.

At the moment, the details about the series are pretty scarce and Netflix are yet to announce a partnership with Zenimax and Bethesda but reliable industry insider Daniel Richtman reports that the series will be as big as Netflix's take on The Witcher series, which as you may know features Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

Interestingly, Bethesda are already working on another major TV series adaptation of one of their games with Netflix's biggest rival Amazon Prime. The Fallout TV series was announced earlier this year and it should be coming sometime in the near future.

It looks like Bethesda and Zenimax are open to working with various streaming giants to bring their games as live-action TV series to these services.

Once again, the details about the Elder Scrolls TV series are almost non-existent at this point but if the project is indeed another big-budget TV series, then expect to see some big faces working on the show.
