2K will be releasing their 2K18 on 19 September. The Legend Edition will feature Shaq on the cover and some special goodies. There will also be a Legend Edition Gold available. Because even among legends there are those in authority.

2K has announced the release date for their 2K18, and it's 19 September. The game will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, the NBA 2K18 Legend Edition will feature the Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal on the cover.

Mr O'Neal had this to say in regards to the cover: "I want to thank NBA 2K for their continuous support of my basketball and broadcast career,”

He continued: "I’m excited to be on the cover of the NBA 2K18 Legend Edition and I hope my fans have a blast playing it up big man style and re-creating my most legendary in-game moments!"

The Legendary Edition will be bursting at the seams due to all the Shaq - themed content: a poster, Panini trading cards, and stickers. You'll also get some in-game items such as 100,000 virtual currency and 20 weekly MyTEAM packs.

But wait, that's not all. There is also the Legend Edition Gold. It comes with all the bells and whistles of the regular Legend Edition and builds upon it by adding a Lenticular, more trading cards, 250,000 currency, 40 packs, and more.

Now for the prices. The Legend Edition will set you back some £77. As for the Legend Edition Gold, that will cost you a cool £115. Not exactly a bargain, but hey, it's Shaq. These editions will only be available for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The boxed, physical version of Legend Edition Gold will be available exclusively at GameStop.

If you pre order either of the two at select retailers, you'll also get a Early Tip-Off Access, which means you'll be able to access the game four entire days before anyone else, on September 15.
