TaleWorlds Entertainment have some great news for the fans and socially isolated alike. Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord's launch in Early Access will not only not be delayed - it's actually launching earlier than planned.

Much like many of their colleagues, TaleWorlds had to adjust to their employees working from home. The culprit is the ongoing coronavirus crisis but thankfully, the team didn't waste any time.

Quite the contrary, in fact, as Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord launches in Early Access on 30 March 2020 at 10am UTC, a day earlier than expected.

The team wrote that they're well aware of the financial and/or health strain the situation placed on many people. This is why they're throwing in a nice little discount as well, and it gets better if you're a returning owner.

"We have decided to make the game available for 10% off for the first two weeks of sale. In addition to this, anyone who owns any previous Mount & Blade title will be eligible for an additional 10% off in select digital stores", they wrote.

As for the gameplay part of Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord's Early Access edition, players are getting Custom Battle and Campaign modes for singleplayer, along with the continuation of multiplayer beta.

The Campaign mode adds a more conventional storyline and key events into the traditional M&B sandbox experience, which should help set goals and clearer objectives for newer players. If, however, you prefer the traditional gameplay type, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord will let you simply ignore the missions and go about your day.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord's Early Access version will let you do everything you'd expect an M&B title to do, and it's more to do with adding finishing touches. Nevertheless, some changes are to be expected throughout, such as privately hosted servers, which are expected closer to the full release.
