Capcom's Monster Hunter: World has already cooked up a nice melting pot of guest stars, ranging from Horizon: Zero Dawn's Aloy to Street Fighter's Ryu and Sakura, but the company isn't planning on stopping, it seems.
As you can see from the video, Dante is coming to Monster Hunter: World and he's not coming for tea and biscuits.
Just like the earlier armour sets, the Devil May Cry armour will turn you into the games' demon killing protagonist. In a strange twist though, a female Dante will also be available although we're not sure whether the option will be purely cosmetic.
Monster Hunter: World will be bringing back Dante's classic carnage tools - Force Edge and Alastor, the Thunder Sword. There are some whispers about taunts, but at the moment it's pure speculation.
Capcom said in the video description says that Dante's coming later this year, although there's no exact date as of yet. The items required will most likely be divided into various quests but again, it's anyone's guess at the moment.
To be fair, Monster Hunter: World is doing more than fine even without the Devil May Cry franchise - the game is constantly among the top three, regardless of whether it's a sales chart or navigation chart. In fact, you may recall Capcom calling it their ever.
On the other hand, with Street Fighter's Ryu (and Sakura) and Horizon: Zero Dawn's Aloy proving to be great additions, passing up the opportunity would be foolish, to say the least. Naturally, the only reason Capcom actually did this is to promote a remaster of Devil May Cry, but it's a win-win, so they're great guys.
