Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has received a new title update on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It includes new challenges, a seasonal event and the Layered Weapons system that will allow players to have the cool stuff without worrying about stats.

MHW: Iceborne's third title update is now live on PS4 and Xbox One. It brings along two new monster variants, Layered Weapons and a seasonal event.

Those looking to keep at the top of the fashion world while trying to survive giant monsters can look forward to the second of the three additions. The system will introduce layered weapons that will be able to alter the appearance of weapons without changing the stats. In other words - you no longer have to choose between looks and stats since you can now have both.

However, not all weapons are in the layered weapon pool. Some items with unique designs will join the pool in April 2020. The customisation celebration doesn't stop there though as characters will have more hairstyle options now that NPC hairstyles have been added as well.

Meanwhile, helping out hunters with lower Master Rank will now offer better drop rates for some quest types as well as better monetary rewards for the helpers. Furthermore, there is a chance to receive rare decorations while helping others with assignments.

Those looking for more of a challenge can look forward to Furious Rajang which will apparently make parrying it extremely hard. It will fight at all distances by combining a pin attack with new medium and long-range attacks.

Raging Brachydios is going down the demolition road with the volatile slime it gets. However, this ability can be countered by attacking specific parts of the monster but that's not all of its arsenal. It now has an ability that traps hunters in a cage match with itself with no chance to retreat.

PC players can look forward to the same update on 8 April 2020 and players across all platforms can enjoy the Seliana seasonal event one day later. Capcom teased more updates along with Full Bloom Fest and more.
