Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin was released just last week (July 9) and it is already attracting a bunch of gamers. Steam DB is reporting that no less than 30,259 players are currently enjoying finding new Monsties and making their perfect companions.
Capcom's latest game has set its all-time record number just 23 hours ago when Steam DB counted 33,464 players.
Monster Hunter Stories: Wings of Ruin will receive its first title update as soon as July 15. The game's first title update will introduce the Palamute from Monster Hunter Rise as a new Monstie companion.
The new title will get four additional updates before the year is out. August will bring the gilded Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth to co-op, Hellblade Glavenus and Boltreaver Astalos as additional Monsties.
Early September will bring Title Update 3. New Monsties in the early-September update will be Soulseer Mizutsune, Elderfrost Gammoth, and Oroshi Kirin.
Title Update four and five are scheduled to drop in late September and October, respectively.
However, the Wings of Ruin numbers have yet to come even close to Monster Hunter: World.
Monster Hunter: World has been out since August 9, 2018, and the offering presently has fewer players than the new title (28,435). Monster Hunter: Wolrd is boasting an all-time peak number of 334,684 players, set three years ago.
