Marvel Rivals has slowly evolved into one of the best hero shooter titles out there. Since its release last year, the game has managed to gain a loyal fan base due to constant updates and gameplay additions with each seasonal update.
Following the end of Season 4, NetEase is finally releasing the Season 5 update for Marvel Rivals. The Season 5 update for Marvel Rivals will feature a new Strategist, Gambit. The Season 5 update for Marvel Rivals becomes available across all platforms on November 14, 2025. Once the update goes live, here's what you can expect to see throughout the duration of Season 5:
November 14
As the update goes live, Gambit will become available for use in the character roster. Alongside Gambit, players can also drop into the new Times Square map. Gambit's Thieves Guildmaster and Magneto's Temporal Tyrant skins go live in the in-game store. The new Elder's Chessboard event also goes live on the same day, which will reward players with the free Iron Spider Spider-Man skin.
As for cosmetics, players are also getting a new Season 5 battle pass with exclusive skins and other items. NetEase is also adding new accessories in the store for players to use with their characters.
November 21-28
The second and third weeks of the Season 5 update will bring in new costumes for Magik and Doctor Strange. Aside from that, from November 28, players can expect to see the game's anniversary event to go live, which will introduce new anniversary costumes for some characters. The main attraction of the third week of the Season 5 update is the new Grand Garden map, which will be the signature map for the new 18v18 conquest annihilation game mode.
December 12
As the last week wraps up, on December 12, NetEase is planning to release the Season 5.5 update for Marvel Rivals, which includes the release of a brand new character, character costumes, limited-time events, and additional content.
