Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer who brought us Magicka and Helldivers have announced they are working on a brand new co-op shooter game which will be next-gen only.
The Stockholm-based studio Arrowhead, who you might know for Magicka, Gauntlet and Helldivers have announced their new project, which is weel underway. The developers confirm their next game is "a third-person shooter featuring next-gen graphics, innovative co-op and agency for the community to alter the course of the game".
Arrowhead shared some details about the game, which will share the satirical humour that fans of the studio's previous games are familiar with. This co-op shooter will be the studio's fifth and biggest project yet.
More details about the game will be shared at a later date since the studio is currently busy searching for developers to join them on the project. They have teased the game with a screenshot, which does not show much sadly. We got to see some blurry textures and that's about it.
Arrowhead Game Studios has previously launched the co-op games Magicka, Gauntlet and Helldivers, as well as the multiplayer game The Showdown Effect. Last year the studio released the fifth free expansion for Helldivers, Helldivers: Dive Harder.
The majority of Arrowhead's titles are praised by players and we hope that this will also be the case with the next project but since this is the studio's first AAA title, we shall wait and see if it's as good as their earlier work.
