Daedalic and Nacon have announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be launching on September 1, 2022, for PC and consoles.

Today, Developer Daedalic Entertainment and publisher Nacon have finally revealed the release date of the story-driven stealth adventure The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The game is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on September 1, 2022.

Nintendo Switch players will be happy to hear that there's a Switch version in the works and is scheduled to release sometime later this year, probably in Q4 2022.

The console version will also have a physical edition for both Xbox and PlayStation. More details on that are expected as we get closer to the release date in September.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was originally announced was back in March 2019 with a 2021 release window. Like many other games that were developed during the COVID pandemic, Gollum was delayed to 2022. Hopefully, that will be the last delay. Given that we now have a release date, it seems that the launch is indeed set in stone.
