Dontnod is working on a Life is Strange sequel. The game will not be making an appearance at E3 this year. We will have more details "when the time is right".

Ever since the boxed edition containing all five episodes of Life is Strange shipped, its dev team has been working on a sequel. Recently, the original game reached three million players, and the boys from Dontnod Entertainment recorded a special message for the fans.

"If you're reading this, you've likely already heard or watched the news... we reached over 3 million unique paying players! It’s an incredible achievement and one we could not have reached without you, our fantastic community! You helped spread positive words about our game and have continually kept the world interested in what happens next." said the blog post on .

The post continued to fill our hearts to the brim with joy and anticipation as it also officially confirmed that the team is working on bringing us another Life is Strange game. We'll have more details "when the time is right". The team refused to comment on whether or not that pun was intended.

Alas, the new game will not be making an appearance at E3 this June, but they "will be watching the show alongside you all and wish everyone good luck!"

The original launched episodically for PlayStation 4, Xbox One,
PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Linux, Mac and PC in the time window between January and October 2015. Did you get all that? It was released for every platform, basically. Take a breather, it's ok.

Some of those versions have been ported, but you have the game's wiki page for that information. A boxed version containing all five episodes has been available since 2016.
We'll keep you up to date as more information comes to light.
