Warner Bros.' Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be reintroduced to fans at this year's gamescom, almost a year after the first gameplay reveal trailer hit the internet.
First announced at E3 2019, The Skywalker Saga was originally supposed to materialise in late 2020. The all-new retelling of all nine Star Wars films was announced for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S and subsequently delayed all the way to spring 2021. The spring of this year has, as you may have noticed, come and gone with Warner Bros. further delaying Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to "coming soon".
Geoff Keighley, a video game journalist and hype enthusiast, recently tweeted out that Warner Bros. are gearing up to show Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to the world the first time in a year at gamescom next week. Keighley's tweet informed the people that gamescom's Opening Night Live event will grant us a new look at Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The Opening Night Live stream is scheduled to start at 19:00 BST on Wednesday, August 25.
