An image that reportedly reveals the scrapped Call of Duty Warzone map has surfaced on Twitter. The map is the rumoured Ural mountains, which was apparently coming with Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War.
Nine months ago, Call of Duty content creator TheXclusiveAce revealed a bunch of details about a brand new Call of Duty: Warzone map, which was reportedly planned for release alongside Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. As you may know, Activision were late with Black Ops Cold War - Warzone integration, which fueled the rumours about a delay for this new map, which is referred to as the "Ural Mountains map".
This map would feature a large snowy area with ski slopes and a big lake in the middle and today, we have the first look at the map design, which indeed confirms that earlier leaks and rumours were legit.
The map was leaked by Nanikos on Twitter and you can check it out below. In case Activision manage to remove the tweet, worry not, we have another link for you here.
As you can see, the map is quite "colourful" unlike Verdansk and it indeed features plenty of snow with almost one-third of the map being in white. Additionally, the lake is also there just like several other locations that leaked previously.
At the moment, we do not know why this map never released or whether Activision plan to introduce it at later date. We know that the upcoming update will bring some changes but the Verdansk map will still be your main playground.
We have to say that this makes us sad since the leaked map certainty looks exciting with diverse areas, which is not something that Verdansk currently offers. Hopefully, Activision did not scrap the development of the map entirely.
