Riot Games announced another batch of League of Legends changes on PBE recently and one particularly interesting set is Rengar's mini rework that will change how his Ferocity works, again.

Rengar has historically been super fun to those playing him and a nightmare for the opposing team's squishies, whom he pops as if they were balloons in an oven. One way to partially deal with this issue was the change to the way his Ferocity works which required a certain string of inputs upon jumping at a squishy enemy, as opposed to just slamming your head in the general vicinity of Q,W and E on your keyboard.

It appears that Rengar fell out of favour in lower ranks of  League of Legends ladder after this happened so Riot Games are planning to revert to his previous state, where Ferocity can be filled up by merely hitting all his abilities.

Rengar currently stacks up to three points of Ferocity on PBE, down from four, and the mechanic that would let him get a point for leaping at an enemy is gone. In other words, you no longer have to worry about the correct input sequence, now you just jump at an enemy, use all three abilities and you get your empowered one ready.

Furthermore, his burst of speed upon using an empowered ability will not be as powerful as before but it will last longer. However, the accompanying change to Bola Strike (E) will more than make up for this since the ability will not have a cast time while leaping at an enemy.

In essence, these changes take Rengar back to his old state and squishy popping should be easier than ever.
