Riot Games revealed the cinematic trailer for Senna, the upcoming AD Carry, and the next step in League of Legends storytelling. She will first come to PBE in late October, followed by live server release in mid-November2019.
Senna, Lucian's wife and Thresh's prisoner for many years has finally been freed from the Chain Warden's lantern. The trailer depicts Lucian as he comes to blows with the creature that trapped his beloved so many years ago.
Following a brief encounter, Lucian, like any good AD Carry, charges straight into the beefy champion's face only to get his face beaten down. However, it appears that all that tedious minion farming paid off and he lodged an OP item into Thresh's lantern, releasing the souls trapped inside, including that of his wife.
The trailer partially explained how Senna came to have a bigger gun than Lucian and possibly teased one of her abilities - she can shoot an ally to create a shield around them that deflects incoming projectiles.
Thresh's broken lantern soon fixed itself, sucking back all the souls that it dropped but Lucian managed to keep his wife in the world of the living this time around. One ominous moment hints that she is either corrupted or is fighting corruption from years of imprisonment and torture at the hands of Shadow Isles' jailor.
Either way, Senna is now out of the lantern and the memes about Thresh having 100 per cent wife steal can come to an end. She is slated for release on PBE on 29 October 2019 and going to live servers on 10 November 2019.
