SKT T1 had what one could characterise as a mediocre Summer Split regular in LCK but they more than made up for that by absolutely annihilating all of the opposition in the playoffs which culminated with them being the crowned champions.
Faker & Co started their LCK 2019 Summer Playoffs in round one as they were the lowest-ranked team that qualified, along with Afreeca Freecs, both ending the regular season with 11-7 Win/Loss ratio.
Ironically enough, AF would be the team that offered the most resistance all the way up until the finals. SKT T1 still swept them away with 3-1 in the best of five series and pretty much no one saw it as a herald of things to come.
Herald it was, however, since T1 on Sandbox Gaming (SB) in Round 2 of the playoffs and literally swept them, not dropping a single game. Faker's team now asserted the kind dominance that got people thinking whether they could go all the way and win the playoffs.
Round 3 was the semi-finals with Damwon Gaming who finished the regular season with the same series Win/Loss ratio as the #1 team, Griffin, but ended up being the runners up because of a lower win rate when it came to single games. This didn't help them in the playoffs, however, as T1 mopped Damwon in another 3-0 series.
The finals happened in the early hours of 31 August 2019 for the western hemisphere and turned out to be another rather comfortable best of five for T1. They opened the series with a 10-0 match, absolutely dominating throughout the game and continued to pick up another game for 2-0 immediately afterwards.

Griffin managed to eke out a single victory in the third match which took them about 34 minutes thanks to strong performances from Tarzan and Chovy. Match 4 was an absolute steamroll though as T1 had a 10.000 gold lead, baron and three Infernal Dragons .
It took T1 another four minutes to close the game out but it was clear there was no coming back as soon as that third drake went down.
