KOTOR Remake will reportedly move away from real-time turn-based combat system

Rumour has it, Knights of The Old Republic Remake, which is currently in development by Aspyr Media, will move away from real-time turn-based combat system and be more like an action RPG.

The long-awaited remake of the iconic RPG Knights of the Old Republic is yet to be officially unveiled but thanks to some reliable sources, we know that the project is indeed being developed by a port studio Aspyr Media.

The details about the game are pretty scarce at the moment but hopefully, we'll hear more from the official channels very soon. And while we wait for that, there is a brand new rumour, coming from a YouTuber MrMattyPlays, who claims that the game will receive some major gameplay overhauls.

According to Matty, Knights of the Old Republic Remake probably will not stick to the old school real-time turn-based combat system. Instead, he claims that Aspyr will try to deliver an action RPG.

"This is going to be an action RPG of some sort, I all know is that they are kinda walking away from that real-time turn-based combat and doing something more along the lines of action combat," Matty explains in his latest video, which you can watch here.

Whether this is indeed the case or not, it remains to be seen and we advise you to take the info with a grain of salt until officially announced. 

Back in January, we got reports revealing that the remake would try to contain elements from bot KOTOR games in order to bring "to bring certain things into the current Star Wars canon".

Sounds pretty exciting and we cannot wait to see Aspyr's game for the first time. Hopefully, it won't take long before that happens.
