The latest patch for Horizon Forbidden West introduced an option to turn off the pick-up animations but Guerrilla did not include the new addition in the patch notes.

Guerrilla Games have quietly added an option that allows you to turn off the pick up animations in Horizon Forbidden West. If you played this PlayStation exclusive, you probably know that when you want to pick up a certain item, the game will play a pick up animation, which may add to the immersion and realism but can be annoying and tedious when you're 10 hours into the game.

Luckily, Guerrilla Games have introduced a new option that allows you to turn off the pick up animations entirely. Interestingly though, the developer did not include this in the most recent Horizon Forbidden West patch notes, which include a bunch of bug fixes but not the confirmation that the option to turn off the animations has been added.

Here's how "the no pick up animation option" looks in action:

Looks much better, right? This way, you can collect more resources than before and you don't have to stop and watch the animations. Instead, you can spend that time simply running around and spamming the pick up button to pick up materials.
