Homeworld: Cataclysm never made it onto the Homeworld Remastered Collection owing to publisher shenanigans. Gearbox and GOG.com have now set out to remedy the fact that Cataclysm is a bit hard to get your hands on, and somewhat difficult to run on modern systems.
The standalone expansion for Relic's Homeworld was developed by Barking Dog Studios, which later became Rockstar Vancouver, and is now available on GOG.com, along with a discount on .

The rerelease has been renamed to , which kind of does fit the game's overall story even better than Cataclysm. The change was made due to concerns over trademark mix-ups with Blizzard's World of Warcraft expansion.
"Cataclysm is now a registered trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., and the game has been renamed to avoid confusion. Other than the subtitle change, the game is identical to the game released in 2000", was explained in the GOG.com announcement.
A proper remaster of Cataclysm, or rather Emergence, probably depends on how well the rerelease sells, so everyone who would like to see that happen - you can vote with your wallets.
