Infinity Ward are set to introduce the iconic Crash map to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare during the first season and today, we have the first look at the new design and some minor additions and changes.
Earlier this month, Infinity Ward and Activision announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One. They described it as the biggest free content drop in the history of the shooter series, bringing new maps, game modes, weapons and more.
One of the new maps is the iconic Crash from the original Modern Warfare game. Today, we have a first look at the gameplay on Crash and some minor changes and additions that the devs introduced, to make the map more balanced for 2019's iteration of the game.
You can watch some of the running and gunning on Crash in the video above. Credit goes to YouTuber Attach. As you can see from the gameplay, the map looks almost identical to the original one but there are some minor tweaks, which players are already calling "safe spaces for campers".
There's a new back alley that gives you a clear view at the crash site, which many players probably won't like but until we get to try it out, we can't know for sure if this minor change will hugely affect the balance of the map.
Attach claims that this is the only change that Infinity Ward made and other than that, the new Crash was an overall pretty great and fun experience. Interestingly, he also said that the devs wouldn't allow him to use the attack chopper killstreak because it would glitch the map. Hopefully, this one gets fixed for the public release.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One officially arrives today, 03 December 2019, but not every bit of announced content will be included from the get-go. Instead, it will be slowly added to the game as the season goes ahead. On top of Crash, Season One will also add Vacant and Shipment, another two classic maps.
