As promised, Rockstar rolled out GTA Online's Los Santos Summer Special event and it brings no less than 15 new vehicles, six new co-op missions, nine new Open Wheel race tracks and more.
NEW VEHICLES
What better way to cool down from the summer heat with some high-speed shenanigans through Los Santos, and Rockstar have 15 new vehicles to do it in. What you see on the cover photo is Lampadati Tigon, and we had to include Invetero Coquette D10 and Declasse DR1 below, for obvious reasons.
The list of new vehicles also includes:
Vapid Peyote Custom
Imponte Beater Dukes
Albany Manana Custom
Bravado Gauntlet Classic Custom
Declasse Yosemite Rancher
Canis Seminole Frontier
Bravado Youga Classic 4X4
Dundreary Landstalker XL
Benefactor Glendale Custom
BF Club
Maibatsu Penumbra FF
Benefactor BR8
Car modding enthusiasts will be glad to hear that 15 new types of Off-Road Wheels, 30 new sets of Street Wheels and new tire designs can be found in mod shops around town.
CO-OP MISSIONS
Galaxy Superyacht owners can now start six new co-op missions from the bridge or iFruit Phone, solo or by inviting an organisation for backup.
From now to August 19, 2020, GTA Online players get Double Rewards and should you host and complete all six - you'll unlock a unique sea-faring outfit.
OPEN WHEEL RACE TRACKS & CREATOR
GTA Online: Los Santos Summer Special brings two new Open Wheel racecars along with a new Open Wheel Race Series. The latter features nine new tracks that will take you "from racing across Land Act Dam to dodging turbines in Ron Alternates Windfarm".
Open Wheel racers will now see visible wear and tear indicators on their tyres, whose type they'll be able to change when pitting.
Note that all the Rockstar-created Open Wheels races this week earn Double Rewards.
As for the race creator, Rockstar wrote, "The Open Wheel Race Creator delivers over 60 new props, including racetrack archways, pit-stops, paddocks and more. Just keep an eye out for bits of twisted chassis and flying loose wheels – some hairpins might be a little too tight.
