GTA Online's Diamond Casino Heist is now live. Your Arcade will be open for business as soon as you meet up with Lester and start hauling in those sweet retro arcade cabinets. While that's going on you'll have your own kind of fun in the basement of your establishment.
GTA Online's "ultimate heist" is now available. In order to clean out the coveted safe, you'll need to assemble a crew, find a great lair in which to plan everything and acquire top-notch casino robbing paraphernalia. Can you tell how very experienced we are in the unsavoury art of stealing?
To pull all this off, you'll want to meet up with Lester in Mirror Park and tap into Maze Bank Foreclosures to acquire the new Arcade property. The man himself has deemed this to be the perfect front for your quest.
Next, you'll want to stock up on some games. It is an Arcade after all - wouldn't want to look suspicious or anything. You will have no less than 12 new playable games to choose from:
- Badlands Revenge II
- The Wizard’s Ruin
- Race and Chase - Street Legal
- Race and Chase - Crotch Rockets
- Race and Chase - Get Truckin'
- Space Monkey 3: Bananas Gone Bad
- Shiny Wasabi Kitty Claw
- Nazar Speaks Fortune Teller
- The Love Professor
- Defender of the Faith (Degenatron classic)
- Monkey’s Paradise (Degenatron classic)
- Penetrator (Degenatron classic)
Once that's all nice and sorted, you'll want to head downstairs and get to planning your retirement. The Hideout will feature three planning boards and plenty of room to store your getaway vehicles. You'll even have somewhere to stash your heist prep equipment.
Now, no heist planning area is complete without some room to practice cracking vaults and hacking doors and that too will be provided. You'll have to get strategic about the whole thing while on the preparatory missions - you’ll have the option to go the extra mile by documenting various entry points, destroying supply shipments and gathering intel on security systems.
All these will provide more routes, approaches and options like getaway decoys so you don't have to shoot up the place on your way out.
All-new gadgets and planning will only get you so far - you'll need to hire the best people for the job. Lester has connections but quality work comes at a price. In fact, all of this does. So how big of a score are we talking here?
Well, if you want to believe (we do), the maximum payout you'll be able to bag is $2.1 million. Don't quit your day-job yet though as you'll need the money to cover your expenses, and those can rack up.
Lester will walk away with a 60K payday. And the rest of the expenses will depend on the crew you ended up selecting, plus those gadgets and vehicles do come with a price tag as well.
The Heist is replayable, and we hope you learn from your inevitable mistakes and report back from your very own island.
