The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt x Monster Hunter: World crossover event has finally arrived to Capcom's monster slaying action RPG on PC. The event is available as a free update and it brings a unique quest along with new armour sets and weapons.
Exactly three months since its release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt event has finally arrived to PC platform today - 09 May 2019. The crossover event is a part of Monster Hunter: World's sixth title update that also brings a lot of bug fixes and improvements among other things.
You can jump into Monster Hunter: World on PC right now and play a special assignment named Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest. The Witcher 3 event will also add another quest next week.
In Trouble in the Ancient Forest, you'll play as Geralt of Rivia in a quest that includes some RPG elements from The Witcher 3. Depending on your progression through the side objectives within the main quest, you can get a couple of different endings but the reward will always be the same.
Completing this special assignment will earn you a special item and gesture, a new guild card background as well as poses and titles. Furthermore, you can also earn materials to craft the Geralt Alpha full armour set and the legendary Witcher's Silver Sword which also comes with a shield.
Also, completing special objectives will reward you with a critical bounty that, once completed, allows you to get the crafting materials for Cursed Staff Alpha and the Nekker Alpha full armour set for your Palico. Trouble in the Ancient Forest will be available indefinitely.
The event quest named Contract: Woodland Spirit arrives on Friday, 17 May 2019 and the difficulty for this one is similar to the Death March difficulty in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Completing the quest will reward you with Ciri Alpha full armour set and Zireael dual blades.
You'll also get delivery requests which allow you to get needed materials for the Geralt Layered Armour and Ciri Layered Armour.
And last but not least, any bugs related to this quest that appeared on consoles have been fixed for the PC version.
