Gabe Newell, the co-founder of Valve has said he prefers Microsoft's next-generation console Xbox Series X over Sony's PlayStation 5 because Xbox Series X is "better".
Head of Valve, Gabe Newell, also known as Lord GabeN has said that he would pick Xbox Series X over PlayStation 5 if he had to choose between the two next-generation consoles. Newell was a guest at The Project NZ where a host asked him which next-gen console is better.
"Oh, the Xbox!" Newell simply replied. When asked why he prefers Xbox over PlayStation 5, Newell once again gave a short answer "Because it is [better]." You can find the important bit in the video below at 3:15 mark:
Additionally, Newell clarified that he does not have a "stake" in the next-gen race since Valve's developers usually do most of their work on PC but he feels that Xbox is a better choice than PlayStation 5 at the moment.
"I don't have a stake in that race, obviously, we do most of our development on PCs, but of the two I would definitely go with an Xbox," he concluded.
Of course, there is nothing surprising in Newell's choice since many developers claim that Xbox Series X is indeed ahead of PlayStation 5 when it comes to raw power. However, some also claim that PS5's software solutions are more advanced, which makes Sony's console a better choice than Xbox.
Both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are coming sometime during Holiday season 2020.
