Ubisoft's brutal melee-action game For Honor will feature improved visuals and run at 60 FPS on all next-gen consoles. On top of this, the upgrade to next-gen will be free for current console players.
For Honor is heading to next-gen consoles, Ubisoft officially announced. The game will support next-gen backward compatibility with some neat enhancements that players will certainly appreciate.
The next-gen version of For Honor will feature the highest level of graphical enhancements that the game has to offer. These enhancements include the following:
- Improved water reflections
- Improved distance level of detail
- Improved shadow resolution
- Improved texture filtering
- 4K resolution on Xbox Series X and PS5
- 1080p on Xbox Series S
In terms of performance, For Honor will be playable at 60 FPS on all next-gen consoles for the beginning of season Y4S4, which kicks off in early December 2020. For Honor ran at 30 FPS on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, so this FPS boost will be a neat addition.
Additionally, If you currently own For Honor on PS4 or Xbox One, your profile, including all purchases and inventory is automatically shared with its next-gen counterparts.
In case you are not familiar with For Honor, it's Ubisoft's unique third-person online melee-action title which allows players to play the roles of Knights, Samurai, Vikings and Chinese Wu Lin in large scale battles and castle sieges.
