Over on Twitter, the developers of Fall Guys, Mediatonic, have teased the game's release on Xbox consoles and potentially Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
Mediatonic's battle-royale platformer Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been a major success both critically and commercially since launching back in February 2020 on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. As you may know, the developers decided to skip the Xbox platform, which is certainly an interesting one but over the last couple of months, rumours about a release on Xbox have started to surface online.
Today, we have a potential tease from the developers themselves. If you follow Fall Guys on Twitter, you probably know that the team likes to goof around with silly tweets but this latest one hints at something much bigger than their usual jokes.
The official Xbox Twitter profile tweeted, asking players to comment on the post to get a game recommendation. Fall Guys Twitter replied with a simple question: "Can I play?"
Who would have known that three simple words can start a blizzard of speculation among Xbox fans, who are hoping to get the game on their consoles soon.
This is of course, far from the official announcement and it's entirely possible that the devs meant nothing by it. Back in August 2020, Mediatonic said they would love to bring the game to other platforms further down the line but since then, not a lot has been said about a potential Xbox release.
Hopefully, that will change in the near future.
