Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver have officially announced Legacy of the Forge, the next story expansion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Revealed during Opening Night Live at gamescom, the DLC launches on September 9 for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
Legacy of the Forge story
The new expansion brings players back to Kuttenberg, where Henry sets out to follow in his late father Martin’s footsteps as a blacksmith. Inheriting and restoring a legendary burnt-down forge, Henry uncovers hidden parts of his father’s life while climbing the ranks of Kuttenberg’s blacksmith guild.
Players will take on commissions to craft swords, forge armour, and complete more unusual tasks, ultimately becoming a master blacksmith.
Home customisation system
One of the standout features of Legacy of the Forge is a new home customisation system, offering over 136 million possible combinations. Henry’s forge and private quarters can be fully personalised, from aesthetics to utility, with choices directly impacting gameplay. As players progress, the forge evolves into a true home base, providing both narrative and functional rewards.
New quests, weapons and armour
Alongside the customisation mechanics, the expansion introduces new daily quests, unique blueprints for weapons and armour, and opportunities to strengthen relationships with the townsfolk of Kuttenberg. The DLC blends meaningful storytelling with practical systems, expanding both Henry’s personal journey and the player’s role in shaping it.
Legacy of the Forge will be priced at £11.49. Owners of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Gold Edition or Expansion Pass will automatically receive the new content. The Gold Edition includes the base game, Gallant Huntsman’s Kit, and access to all three paid story expansions, plus the Shields of Season pack.
