EA DICE have announced Battlefield V boot camp, a website containing tips and tutorials, which was already present in Battlefield 1. It seems like the fans liked the site enough the first time around to request it again for Battlefield V.

Introduction of Battlefield V boot camp came somewhat late as the game is due for release on 15 November, while EA Access Premier subscribers had the game already since 09 November 2018. It will still be present before the bulk of new players joins the game though, meaning the time window for the guides hasn't passed.

According to the official description, the boot camp page will feature videos teaching players about the importance of bullet penetration and attrition systems. In short, some of the videos will serve to acclimatize players to headshots through limbs and lack of bullets.

Each video will apparently have an article accompanying it, in order to summarize the video so you don't have to watch it over and over again, while also helping transform players from feeble newbies to eSport monsters. The latter may be an overstatement, but it does feature some helpful tips.

To kick the early training off, EA DICE emphasised their top 10 tips, which include following squad leaders as groups are stronger than lone wolves, playing for the objective instead of chasing kills, trying to stay alive as the last squad member since respawning on squaddies is quicker, reminding players they can revive squaddies regardless of their class and that they should learn how to play all the available classes.

The remaining four tips are class specific. For example, Supports should toss out ammo as soon as they spawn, while Medics should do the same with Medical Pouches. Recons' main concern should be spotting enemies for their squads, while Assaults should be meat shields, err, should lead the charge.

One final tip was to play through singleplayer War Stories in order to sharpen your skills if you feel overwhelmed in multiplayer, while reminding players to on the official site from time to time.
