With the launch of sort-of-authentic Battlefield V less than two weeks away, EA and DICE have unveiled the entire arsenal of primary and melee weapons, sidearms, vehicles and gear that awaits once the game is out on 20 November 2018.
Unlike some other components of the game, Battlefield V's weaponry should accurately mimic its real-life counterparts, with SMGs and shotguns reserved for closeup fighting, while assault rifles handle long distance scuffles.
LMGs and MMG are for spraying at the expense of mobility while semi-automatic and self-loading rifles sacrifice rate of fire for damage. As you'd expect, bolt actions are the slowest to reload and the quickest to ragequit. Did I say ragequit? I meant quickest to down an enemy, if you can land headshots.
Battlefield V sports a total of 30 primary weapons, starting with StG 44, Sturmgewehr 1-5 and M1907 SF assault rifles. There are four LMGs, KE7, Bren Gun, FG-42 and Lewis Gun, as well as two MMGs - MG 32 and MG 42.
As for semi-auto rifles, we've got Selbstlader 1916, Gewehr 43, Gewehr 1-5, M1A1 Carbine and Turner SMLE. Their self-loading colleagues are Model 8, ZH-29 and RSC. Snipers will be getting Gewehr M95/30, Krag-Jorgensen, Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk I and Kar98k rifles.
As for Battlefield V's closeup arsenal, we've got M30 Drilling and 12g Automatic shotguns and a total of seven SMGs - STEN, Suomi KP/-31-, EMP, MP40, MP28, MP34 and M1928A1.
Battlefield V's sidearms are P38 Pistol, Ruby, P08 Pistol, Repetierpistole M1912, M1911, FP-45 Liberator and Mk VI Revolver pieces. Completing the foot soldiers arsenal are melee weapons - British Army Jack Knife, Club, Cricket Bat, Hatchet, Kukri, Pickaxe, Scout Knife, Shovel and Solveig Knife.
As for the vehicle side of things, the list of Battlefield V's tanks includes Churchill Gun Carrier, Churchill Mk VII, Flakpanzer IV, Panzer 38(t), Panzer IV, Staghound T17E1, Tiger I, Valentine AA Mk I and Valentine Mk VIII tanks. In terms of air support, Battlefield V's birds are Bf 109 G-2, Bf 109 G-6, Blenheim Mk IF, Blenheim MkI, Ju 87 Stuka B-1, Ju 87 Stuka B-2, Ju 88A, Mosquito F Mk II, Spitfire Mk VA and Spitfire Mk VB planes.
