Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will land on 16 January 2020 for all the PC, PlayStation 4 & Xbox One fans of Goku and his colourful range of sidekicks that tend to be hairdresser's nightmares, according to the official Dragon Ball News website.
Bandai Namco were fairly tight-lipped about the release date for the upcoming RPG, starring none other than the Saiyan, the myth, the legend - Goku. The only piece of information about it was a vague early 2020 release window but the official Dragon Ball news website has announced the exact date, mentioned above.
One interesting note here is that 16 January is a Thursday, a day that is rather uncommon as a video game release day in the western hemisphere. Therefore, it's still possible that a few days discrepancy would happen and 16th is only the release date for Japan. Time will tell, but even if there are differences, they shouldn't be major.
The box art features Goku on his Flying Nimbus, which was probably expected since he couldn't just fly whenever or wherever he pleased back in the good old days of Dragon Ball Z.
It remains to be seen how much time will be needed for Goku and the Z Fighters to evolve enough to be able to (un)successfully stand up to Buu during his saga. We will get the baby steps first though, as Goku's first challenge will be his Saiyan buddies.
On that note, Bandai Namco have not released any trailers featuring the Buu Saga yet, while they already showed a bunch of other content. Considering the release date is four months away, it's possible we will get to see a trailer for it soon fairly soon.

Pre-orders will kick off on 12 September 2019 and the release date will be the same for all platforms. You can try fishing for more information on the official but be warned that Google's translation is rather horrible.
