KillHouse Games are back with what looks like another gem in the making. Door Kickers 2: Task Force North will land in Steam Early Access at some point in Q2 2020 where it will stay for a while and possibly get more awards in 2021.
Door Kickers is sitting on the brink over Overwhelmingly Positive review score on Steam as the title is just one per cent worth of positive reviews away from the glamorous standing. The success didn't come for no reason - Door Kickers presented the world with a unique take on SWAT interventions as the players controlled their tactical team from a top-down perspective for maximum analysis on the go.
KillHouse Games are not done with the tactical adventures it seems as they announced a sequel, branded Door Kickers 2: Task Force North. This time around, the players will take control of a spec ops team in the Middle East, as opposed to SWAT and urban areas.
The game is slated to arrive to Steam Early Access at some point during Q2 2020 where it will stay for at least a year. The developers left a lengthy note on why the game will be in Early Access first, explaining that Door Kickers 2 has a large scope, and more importantly - intensive modding support.
According to the note on Steam Page, modding support will add a lot of complexity to the development which is one of the main reasons Early Access looks like the most appealing approach for KillHouse Games.
Besides that, KillHouse are a small developer team and they are actively asking for community help via feedback in order to iron things out as soon as possible.
Considering the minimal use of models and textures, it is highly unlikely that system requirements will be demanding but detailed specs should become available further into development.
