Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire has now made double the asking price

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire has managed to rally over 20.000 backers who have thrown a total of $2.2 million at the crowdfunding project at the time of writing and with 18 more days to go on the campaign that number is bound to increase.

The Obsidian project is now officially out of stretch goals and the backer to investor ratio still remains roughly at 1:1. The final stretch goal the developers have come up with for the campaign is about $3000 away and there is no question whether the game will pass $2.2 million and attain UI customisation and Italian localisation.

It's a little strange that Italian localisation would be the last stretch goal before the devs inevitably come up with more, as Torment: Tides of Numenera recently dropped Italian due to its low perceived impact on sales and the two games audiences most likely overlap a great deal.
