Days Gone is mere days away from release but the developers, SIE Bend Studio, have already announced a DLC pack that will be arriving in June 2019. The best part is this will be a free content pack that will include more difficulty.

Days Gone will launch on 26 April 2019 for PlayStation only, since this is an in-house exclusive made by Sony's Bend Studio. The update will bring more difficulty options for those who seek more challenge than what the default ones will provide.

Vanilla game will offer Easy, Normal and Hard mode that will cater to various categories of gamers, all packed up in at least 30 hours of content, , the game director for Days Gone. Those who have wanderlust will be able to expand that time frame with zombie hordes, ambush camps, infestation zones, NERO checkpoints and dynamic events.

Just over a month after the game launches with that pile of content, Bend Studio are planning to release a free DLC pack that will have the Survival difficulty mode. It will be a step up from Hard mode, will feature no fast travel or Survival Vision and an immersive HUD that will not have maps or indicators.

This will likely provide the closest zombie apocalypse experience players can get unless they run into one in real life. All of these changes are apparently made to bring immersion up a notch.

That is not all, however, as each week will bring a new bike, horde or combat challenge, starting from June. They sound a lot like the regular weekly challenges we get in other games, offering additional items and rewards for completing them.

Survival difficulty will have a trophy of its own so if you are planning to go Platinum with Days Gone, better put on your immersion pants. If that is not enough of an enticement to give Survival a go, maybe the additional bike skins will.
